Actinobacillus minor is a species of Gram-negative, nonmotile, non-spore-forming bacteria within the family Pasteurellaceae. It was first described by Møller and colleagues in 1996 following its isolation from the upper respiratory tract of pigs.[1]
Taxonomy
Actinobacillus minor was differentiated from closely related species such as Actinobacillus lignieresii and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing, DNA-DNA hybridization, and phenotypic characteristics.[1]
