A Fox in the Night is a 1959 Australian play by Barry Pree. The play was controversial due to its content.[1][2]

The play came second in the General Motors Holden theatre award held by the Elizabethan Theatre Trust (first prize went to The Slaughter of St Teresa's Day).[3][4]

The play was published by Theatregoer magazine at a time when publishing Australian plays was rare.[5]
