The Asian section of the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification will act as qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup to be held in Brazil for national teams who are members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Six teams will qualify directly to join hosts Brazil and two teams will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs.[1]
Format
As in 2023, the AFC Women's Asian Cup serves as the qualifying competition to determine the Asian representatives at the Women's World Cup. The qualifying process is:
- Qualifying stage: Nations will compete 23 June – 5 July 2025 in eight groups to determine the eight nations joining the three top-ranked teams from the 2022 edition (China, South Korea and Japan) and hosts Australia for the final tournament. The sizes of each group are based on the number of nations entering qualification.
- Final tournament: The final tournament is scheduled to take place 1–21 March 2026. Twelve nations will be drawn into groups of four teams each to play single round-robin matches. The group winners and runners-up and the two best-ranked third-place teams will advance to the knockout phase to determine the six nations qualifying directly for the 2027 Women's World Cup and the two Asian representatives in the inter-confederation play-offs.
