Incumbent Vice Governor Rey Andre Olegario of the Nacionalista Party retired.
The Nacionalista Party nominated Olegario's son, incumbent 2nd district Sangguniang Panlalawigan member, Ric-Ric Olegario, he ran against two other candidates.[1]
