The 2025 Sacramento Republic FC season is the club's twelfth season in existence. The club plays in the USL Championship, the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. Sacramento Republic FC competes in the Western Conference of the USL Championship.[1]

Over the offseason, the Republic underwent a coaching change, having replaced Mark Briggs after five years coaching the team with Neill Collins,[2] following a first-round exit in the 2024 USL Championship playoffs.[3]

US Open Cup

The Republic, as a member of the second division USL Championship, entered the U.S. Open Cup in the Third Round based on its performance in the 2024 USL Championship season.[9] Drawn at home against the last amature club in the competition, El Farolito SC of the NPSL, the club won 10 to advance to the Round of 32,[10] where they lost away to MLS club San Jose Earthquakes 21.[11]
