FIFA Club World Cup

The draw was held on 5 December 2024.[2][3]

Originally León was set to participate in the tournament as winner of the 2023 CONCACAF Champions League. On 21 March 2025, the team was removed from the tournament due to violating the FIFA Appeal Committee's rules on multi-club ownership, as León and Pachuca have the same owner. They were replaced with Los Angeles FC or Club América.[4] On 31 May 2025 Los Angeles FC beat Club América 2–1 in extra time to claim the final tournament spot.[5]
