The first round will be held from 9 to 12 October 2025 in Barcelona, Spain and the final 8 will be held from 2 to 6 April 2026. The second host is yet to be confirmed.[1] Gantoise are the defending champions, having won their first title in the previous season.[2][3]
Association team allocation
A total of 20 teams from 40 of the 42 EHF member associations participated in the 2025–26 Men's Euro Hockey League (the exceptions being Belarus and Russia which are currently suspended). The association ranking based on the EHL men's ranking table was used to determine the number of participating teams for each association:
- Associations 1–3 each had three teams qualify.
- Associations 4–6 each had two teams qualify.
- Associations 7–11 each had one team qualify.
Association ranking
The associations were allocated places for the 2025–26 Euro Hockey League according to their 2024–25 EHL country coefficients, considering their performance in European competitions from 2022–23 to 2024–25.[4]
