The 2024 Stanford Cardinal football team represented Stanford University in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cardinal were led by Troy Taylor in his second and final year as the head coach. The Cardinal played home games at Stanford Stadium located in Stanford, California.
The 2024 season was Stanford's first in the ACC since moving from the Pac-12 Conference,[1][2] after spending over a century in the conference and its predecessor. The season was also notable for being Stanford’s fourth consecutive 3–9 season.
Stanford fired Taylor on March 25, 2025, following an investigation into alleged bullying of members of the Stanford athletic department.[3]
