By-elections to eight state assembly constituencies were held in Rajasthan on 26 April 2024 for four seats and on 13 November 2024 for 7 seats. The results were announced on 4 June for 1 seat and 23 November for the rest of the seats. BJP, the ruling party won 5 out of 8 seats and the Bharat Adivasi Party won 2. The Congress won one seat.[2]

Background

The by-election for Bagidora, happened due to the resignation of its sitting member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). This by-election (bypoll) happened along with the 2024 Indian general election. The bypolls in rest of the constituencies (barring Ramgarh and Salumber), happened due to their MLAs being elected to the Lok Sabha. The by-election to these 9 seats happened on 13 November and the results were declared on 23 November.
