The 2024–25 Première Ligue season, also known as Arkema Première Ligue for sponsorship reasons, was the 51st season of top national women's football league in France and the first season since its rebranding as Première Ligue. Lyon were the defending champions, having won their record-extending 17th title in the 2023–24 season.[7]
The season began on 20 September 2024 and ended on 16 May 2025 with the play-off final.[8]
After a 4–0 win over Fleury on 30 March 2025, Lyon mathematically defended their first place finish, and qualified for the playoffs.[9] They went on to defend their title, defeating Dijon in the semifinals and Paris Saint-Germain in the final.

Play-offs
The top four teams from the regular season qualify for the play-offs. In the semi-finals, the team that finished first plays the team which finished fourth. Rest of the two teams would face each other.
The winner of the play-offs is crowned the champion for the 2024–25 season. Both finalists secure a direct qualification to the 2025–26 Champions League league stage. The team which finished third in the regular season qualifies for the third round of the 2025–26 Champions League, unless the team which finished fourth win the play-offs.[10]
