The 2005 Wisconsin Badgers football team represented the University of Wisconsin as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 2005 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led Barry Alvarez in his 16th and final season as head coach, the Badgers compiled an overall record of 10–3 with a mark of 5–3 in conference play, placing in a four-way tie for third in the Big Ten with Iowa, Michigan, and Northwestern. Wisconsin was invited to the Capital One Bowl, where the Badgers defeated Auburn. The team played home games at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.
