The 1999 French Open also known as the 1999 Open de France du Jeu de Paume was the 19th edition of the real tennis French Open. The men's draw was held at the Jeu de Paume de Bordeaux between September 22-26, while the women's draw was held at the same venue between September 30-October 3. It was organised by the Comité Français de Courte-Paume. The men's draw was the third grand slam event of the year.

The men's singles draw was won by defending champion and incumbent World Champion Robert Fahey, his third French Open victory. He defeated 1997 champion Chris Bray in the final in four sets.[1] Fahey also won the men's doubles draw with Mike Gooding. It was their first doubles title as a pair, although both had won at least six Opens with other partners. The women's singles was won by incumbent World Champion Penny Lumley, defeating Charlotte Cornwallis.[2] Lumley partnered with Alex Garside to win the doubles draw.
