The 1999 Real Tennis Australian Open was the 68th edition of the Australian Open. The men's event was held at the Royal Melbourne Tennis Club in Melbourne in July 1999. It was organised by the Australian Real Tennis Association. The men's draw was the third grand slam event of the year.

The men's singles draw was won by Chris Bray. It was his first Australian Open title, and completed his career grand slam.[1][2] It would be the fifth and final Open title of his career. He beat defending champion and incumbent World Champion Robert Fahey in the final in four sets. The doubles title was won by Bray and Steve Virgona, receiving a walkover from Wayne Davies and Paul Tabley in the final. The women's final was won by Prue McCahey, the first of five Australian Open titles. She partnered with Karen Toates to win the doubles.
