The 1985 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented the Ohio State University in the 1985 Big Ten Conference football season. Led by seventh-year head coach Earle Bruce, the Buckeyes compiled an overall record of 9–3 with a mark of 5–3 in conference play, tying for fourth place in the Big Ten. Ohio State was invited to the Florida Citrus Bowl, where the Buckeyes defeated BYU. The team played home games at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
A highlight of the season for the Buckeyes was a victory over top-ranked Iowa, 22–13, at home on November 2.
