Margaret Court defeated Ann Jones in the final, 6–1, 4–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 1969 French Open. It was her third French singles title and 15th major singles title overall.[1]

Nancy Richey was the defending champion, but lost in the semifinals to Court.
