G-Dragon concert chronology

The Übermensch World Tour is the fourth concert tour by South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter G-Dragon, held in support of his third studio album Übermensch (2025). It marks his first concert tour in eight years since the Act III: M.O.T.T.E World Tour (2017). The Übermensch World Tour began at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea on March 29, 2025.

Background

On February 6, 2025, G-Dragon's self-founded entertainment agency Galaxy Corporation announced that G-Dragon would hold a world tour in support of his then-upcoming studio album Übermensch, set for release on February 25.[1] A week later, it was revealed that the tour would begin at the Goyang Stadium in Goyang, South Korea on March 29 and 30.[2] On March 19, fourteen dates were unveiled in East and Southeast Asia.[3] On May 13, new four dates were unveiled in Australia and Thailand.[4]

On June 16, four new dates were announced in the United States and France.[5]

Critical reception

The Korea JoongAng Daily praised the performances in Goyang, writing "His choreography was polished, and his stage presence was magnetic. Even the biting cold that suddenly came over the weekend couldn't dampen the audience’s enthusiasm".[6]

Commercial performance

General sale

On February 28, 2025, Galaxy Corporation announced that all 60,000 tickets for the two shows at the Goyang Stadium were sold out immediately upon ticket release.[7] Limited-view seats were subsequently made available on March 6 to accommodate the high demand, which were sold out within three minutes.[8] In Macau, a third show was added after 7 million users simultaneously vied to purchase tickets through the platform QQ Music and 680,000 people on the main site during ticketing.[9][10][11] In Japan, the singer went on to become the first Korean solo act to sell-out Tokyo Dome on numerous occasions, following Act III: M.O.T.T.E World Tour and the Übermensch World Tour.[12] In Osaka, the limited-view seats were made available due the demand after all the available seats sold-out.[13] In Taiwan, the two shows sold-out within minutes which lead to a third show to be added.[14] A second show was added in Melbourne, Australia.[15]

Philanthropy

G-Dragon donated 300 million ($200,000) of the concert profits held in South Korea to support the recovery efforts of the wildfire crises in Gyeongsang-do and Ulsan.[16]
